Even if Lawrence Welk inspired an aversion to accordions, you should find Queen Ida's sun-dappled Creole style irresistible. The most enthralling cuts in Mardi Gras! (like ''Comment Ca Va'') come close to capturing the jubilance of this Grammy-winning zydeco queen's live shows. But a walked-through cover of ''I Can See Clearly Now'' and some other filler suggests she needs a producer who can zero in on her unique strengths. B-
