This abysmal knockoff of Stripes buries Pauly Shore under a pile of generic barracks-comedy gags. Shorn of his cuddly hippie locks, Shore loses just about all his personality as a comic-i.e., he no longer seems like the slightly more masculine brother of Richard Simmons. D-
