SOMERS' FRIGHT

The opportunity to see Suzanne Somers in shamanistic face paint is not lure enough to rescue Seduced by Evil (USA, Aug. 25, 9-11 p.m.) from the TV-movie loony bin. By day, Lee Lindsay (Somers) is a mild-mannered magazine writer married (to Hill Street Blues' James Sikking) with a teenage daughter (blond novice Mindy Spence). By night, however, she dreams of ravens and wolves and foretells fatal car accidents. That's because, wouldn't you know, she has been chosen as the spirit mate of Ceiro (bit-part villain-player John Vargas), a black-magic sorcerer who casts a spell on her when she visits his ranch to interview him-for a lifestyle profile, I presume. As Lee swoons from the cup of Magic Potion tea Ceiro feeds her, he whispers in her ear, ''You're mine, you're mine, you're mine!'' or words to that effect; later that night, getting cozy with her husband, she is horrified to see the tattoo of a raven peeking out on her rib cage below her bra like an ID (If lost, return to shaman). How Lee breaks free of Ceiro's clutches and saves her family from harm, all the while keeping her lip gloss unsmudged and her Beverly Hills-style fringed buckskin jacket dust-free, is one of the marvels of late-August cable schlock.
