Gorgeous, razor-sharp cinematography is about the only thing New Eden, a lukewarm Road Warrior wannabe has going for it, and that's not enough. As the dweeby engineer who changes his ways to lead a band of losers in a battle against mohawked ''sand pirates,'' the ever-smirky Stephen Baldwin doesn't even look like he's taking his role seriously, while Lisa Bonet's waif routine is getting real tired.
