Finally, a goofball horror cheapie that actually works, thanks to Angela Featherstone's droll performance as an adorable demon from Hell who decides to come up and see how those damned souls she torments get that way. You've never seen a girl rip out a man's heart with such aplomb as in Dark Angel: The Ascent, if that sort of thing floats your boat. B-
