D2: THE MIGHTY DUCKS Emilio Estevez, Michael Tucker (1994, Walt Disney, G, $19.99) The title, of course, is a clever takeoff on the Terminator 2 nickname. Okay, so it's not that clever, but it beats the rest of this uninspired sequel, in which Estevez coaches his kiddie hockey upstarts to glory at the Junior Goodwill Games in L.A. The first Ducks scored with tried- and-true cliches that nevertheless seemed new to peewee moviegoers. D2 employs the same cliches, only on a bigger scale. Next to this, The Bad News Bears Go to Japan looks like The Pride of the Yankees. C- -MS
