The Charles Grodin slavering-Saint Bernard sequel, which lists for $24.98, finished well ahead of the week's two other big debuts, My Girl 2 (No. 15) and Intersection (No. 16). With the success of Beethoven's 2nd, it should come as no surprise if a generation of children grows up to the strains of a very different Beethoven's Fifth.
