A family drama about orphans doesn't exactly sound like a natural Monday-night follow-up to the steamy intrigues of Melrose Place. But viewers who find their appetite for beefcake unsated after Melrose will find among Party of Five a Wolf and a Fox-specifically, Scott Wolf, 26 (Evening Shade, Saved by the Bell), and Matthew Fox, 28 (Freshman Dorm). We quizzed the show's hunks-in- residence to find out if they truly bring the Party with them. What were you like in high school? Wolf: I was the guy who could hang out with just about anybody but didn't quite fit in 100 percent with any one group. I had friends who were brains, I had friends who were jocks, I had friends who were stoners. Fox: I was the jock.

Whom do people say you look like? Wolf: I tend to get a Tom Cruise look. Fox: I've gotten the Andrew Shue thing and I've gotten the Keanu Reeves thing.

Do you have any bad habits? Wolf: Anytime there's a break in a conversation, I go, ''So, uhhh....'' I hate little pauses in coversation. Fox: I chew my fingernails.

If Party of Five is a hit, what is the first thing you'll buy for yourself? Wolf: Porsche 911. Black. Convertible. Fox: I'm going to go all over Europe.

What was your favorite Brady Bunch episode? Wolf: I'd have to go with the ''Oh- my-nose!''/Marcia-gets-hit-with-the-football episode. By far, my favorite Brady moment. Fox: We didn't have TV in my house until I was like 15 or 16. My father wouldn't allow it.

In a battle of the hunks-you vs. Jason Priestley and Luke Perry-who'd win? Wolf: We'd kick their asses. Fox: We'd stomp on them, for sure.
