The good-hearted blues from ''the King of the Harmonica'' touched not only countless fellow bluesmen, but even some rockers (Eric Clapton). Of these 15 amiable, unpretentious 1951-54 Trumpet recordings (several of which are previously unreleased), perhaps the high point is ''From the Bottom,'' enhanced by the unmistakable guitar work of a young B.B. King. Another famed bluesman, Arthur ''Big Boy'' Crudup, is featured on two numbers, but neither track captures him or Williamson at his best.
