Raymond, a Star Search contestant and protege of L.A. Reid (the album's coproducer), hip-hops from sophomoric ballads to remarkably dull new jack swing on his debut. But what really bogs him down is an unspectacular delivery. Unlike Tevin, Aaliyah, or even the young Michael Jackson, Raymond sounds exactly like the 15-year-old he is. C-
