Musky-voiced Wilson's near masterpiece of last year, Blue Light Until Dawn, was a hard act to follow. Her new album, comprising unreleased tracks from her JMT salad days, is not quite up to that level, but provides a valuable history lesson. Wilson straddles tradition ''Round Midnight'' and her own deceptively simple-sounding, blue-lit brand of soul-jazz. Artistry this unique is a story worth retracing. B+
