Video Review: 'Army of One' (1994)

All anyone asks of Dolph Lundgren is that he deliver his lines without a fly buzzing into his mouth, and Army of One meets our low expectations with its standard tale of a tough guy running from crooked cops. Although there's a vague promise of innovation when Lundgren's female hostage turns out to be an equally badass female cop, the film still falls victim to the creeping familiarity of low-budget chase films conveniently set in the desert to avoid spending money on set construction.
