In fact, the overall tone is so laid-back you might nod out to the ambient-jazz grooves and stoned-soul stylings and miss the pro-black, Brooklyn-centric lyrics altogether. But cock an ear to the mellowed-out ''Black Ego'' and see if you care. B+
