There is nothing as exasperating as an actor running off at the mouth. In Barry Levinson's allegedly darkly comic diatribe against Tinseltown, Pesci (in a blond fright wig) plays a rather despicable out-of-work and over-the- hill actor who becomes a vigilante after his girlfriend (Victoria Abril) gets held up. Slater is the dimwit sidekick who has to listen to Pesci's ravings. So do we. This movie comes very close to inducing coma. F
