The Secret Garden (Sound Source Interactive, CD-ROM for PC/Windows, under $30) A tie-in to the 1993 film, for which Francis Ford Coppola served as executive producer, this disc boils the wordy-yet-well-loved Frances Hodgson Burnett classic down to an interactive primer aimed at 3- to 8-year-olds. Each page in Secret Garden's 12 chapters offers clips from the film, snippets from the soundtrack, or amusing animation, and the read-aloud feature allows users to choose between two narrators-one a boy, the other a girl. It's quite well done and almost busy enough to drown out the sound of Burnett rolling in her grave. B -TB
