Music Review: 'All My Tomorrows' (1994)

The finely textured arrangements by Slide Hampton on the title track and ''Please Send Me Someone to Love'' have so much more substance than the other nine that it's a pity Hampton didn't oversee the whole project. But here and there, romantic reedman Washington — aided by stronger sidemen than usual (notably, pianist Hank Jones) — escapes the mood-music trap that often ensnares him.
