There's less variety on These Blues than on his acclaimed Bullseye Blues albums, but Charles Brown's sweet-sad vocals and ornate piano work wear well. He's most compelling on ''Amazing Grace'' and his own ''I Did My Best for You,'' the latter a significant addition to his recorded legacy. B+
