Can kids be jocks and computer jockeys? Once they get a load of this disc they'll want to. Produced under the guidance of Sports Illustrated for Kids, The Everything You Want to Know About Sports Encyclopedia uses an engagingly silly interface to round up solid information — history, rules, records, and more — about a dizzying array of disciplines from archery to wrestling, baseball to boccie, rugby to rodeo. The video clips are mildly useless, but the Trivia Game feature — hosted by ''Frozen Marv, the guy at the bottom of the screen'' — is tough enough to daunt this reviewer. (Then again, I always got stuck playing right field.) B+
