Now that he's 14 years old and growing by leaps and bounds, Macaulay Culkin is probably too tall to play prepubescent Richie Rich. But after paying Culkin $8 million to star in the Warner Bros. version of the comic book, the filmmakers came up with an ingenious way to make him look shorter, says Chelcie Ross, who plays a villain in the film: Several costars are more than six feet tall, including Edward Herrmann and John Larroquette (who's 6'4''). ''I guess everyone wanted to make sure that he looks like a kid,'' says the 6-foot-3-inch Ross.
