Lionel Stander, 86, best known as the husky-voiced Max on Hart to Hart, of lung cancer in Brentwood, Calif., on Nov. 30. Stander was also among those blacklisted in Hollywood in the 1950s. "He was a true original," says former Hart costar Robert Wagner. "But above all, he was a father figure and a good friend."...Elizabeth Glaser, 47, AIDS activist, of complications from the virus, at her home in Santa Monica, Calif., on Dec. 3. Glaser cofounded the Pediatric AIDS Foundation (PAF) in 1988, two years after discovering she had received tainted blood from a transfusion and transmitted the virus to her children, Ariel, who died at age 7 in 1988, and Jake, 10, who is asymptomatic. Glaser, wife of Starsky and Hutch's Paul Michael Glaser, used her connections to encourage the industry to respond to the AIDS crisis. A PAF spokeswoman says that despite the loss of its cofounder, the organization will move forward.
