Lead Performance: Various Artists

These performances from the recent Pyramid concert in Memphis, It's Now or Never - The Tribute to Elvis, run the gamut from horrendous (Wet Wet Wet's title tune) to somnambulistic (Chris Isaak's ''Blue Moon'') to surprisingly inspired (Dwight Yoakam's ''Mystery Train,'' the Mavericks' ''Love Me''). As a jumpsuited icon, Elvis may be a national cartoon, but as a rock visionary, this king still rules the territory. C-
