Recorded a dozen years ago and composed more than a millennium before that, Chant Noel comes fast on the heels of this year's earlier surprise runaway success. Hyper-reverberant space surrounds these serene, mostly Christmas-related works, which are a perfect antidote to media overload. There are fickle musical trends far less substantial than Gregorian chant; certainly, the form will survive its current vogue. B+
