Everyone loves a one-man band, but Sebadoh's Loewenstein takes the concept to new extremes on his first solo outing, writing and singing all the songs, playing the instruments, engineering and producing -- even designing the CD cover. And in overachiever fashion, he does it all well. At least, well enough, although the lo-fi racket and guitar noodling are unlikely to appeal to many outside the indie-rock crowd.
