The Brother Boys play New Hillbilly music, a smart amalgam of the tongue-and-groove vocal harmony of the Wilburn Brothers, the lonesome quality of bluegrass, and the hopelessness of Delta blues. The best songs on Plow are the band's own evocative originals, especially ''Twist You Up,'' about an old woman, her only dress, and a vote cast for FDR. B+
