Ex-Monkee Michael Nesmith couldn't be sitting prettier: He has independent wealth, he has already been successful, and he only makes records when he wants to. His first new album since 1979 may not be earthshaking or a major stylistic change — he's still a countrified sophisticate — but ...Tropical Campfire's... brims with more conviction and artistry than money (or Monkee) could ever buy.
