Dusk (1993)

Details Lead Performance: The The; Genre: Rock

As an early player in London's avant-garde, postpunk scene, the The The laced its pop-gone-sour sound with nervous vocals, eerie sampling, and mechanical beats. Twelve years later, it has blunted its edge with Dusk — a simple, ambient wash of acoustic guitar, harmonica, and Hammond organ. This blend of processed blues and pleasant melodies proves easily digestible but repetitive. C
