If Cohen's brooding fans are looking for another reason why he's the next-best thing to God, Songs From the Life of Leonard Cohen is a bio with concert footage that shows the wit and charm behind the supersaturated romanticism of his music. This 70-minute film isn't the greatest introduction to Cohen's music we get only bits and pieces of his songs in this blurry-looking and -sounding tape but the program makes it clear why lit majors everywhere adore the guy.
