Making his directorial debut, Dr. Dre takes us on a South Central tour in Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang: hanging at a cookout, low-riding on the freeway, and ending up at a dance party. It all feels and looks real, down to Dre's smarmy, frat-house misogyny. A girl's bikini top is ripped by leering homeboys and a standoffish ''bitch'' gets sprayed with beer while the crowd laughs, reducing this slice of life to yet another hip-hop cheap shot. C-
