Brace your fingers for a remote-control workout if you rent director Ralph Bakshi's blatant ripoff of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Every time comic-book artist Jack Deebs (Byrne) gets zapped into an animated universe, incoherent action, decipherable only in slow motion, spills across the screen. But once Deebs pulls doodle-turned-human Holli Would (played by a cheerless Basinger) and a private dick (Brad Pitt) back to reality with him, you'll be bored enough with Cool World to reach for the fast-forward button if you haven't already hit eject.
