But while terror seemed to replace sweetness and schmaltz, good manners remained. Tact (who wants a gift of an exercise video from one's significant other?) and a waning of New Year's resolutions combined to drive one fitness tape from the top 10 best-sellers, leaving just the mega-popular Cindy Crawford workout, and Richard Simmons: Sweatin' to the Oldies 2, and even these slacked off this week.
