A fictionalized version of the recent loss and recapture of the America's Cup, Wind is a movie that worked better in theaters: When those beautiful 12-meter boats came around on the big screen, you ducked. On the small screen, the emphasis seems to shift to the predictable plot and lame gung ho dialogue (''Sometimes we pay too high a price for our dreams''). Not even hunky Modine, perky Grey, or hammy Cliff Robertson (he even gets to do a Mad Scene) can hoist this vessel above C level.
