Innocent Blood (1993)

EW's GRADE
D

Details Rated: R; Genres: Comedy, Horror, Romance; With: Robert Loggia and Anne Parillaud

Director John Landis must be desperate for a hit after the dismal Sylvester Stallone comedy Oscar. Innocent Blood recycles his 1981 An American Werewolf in London into A French Vampire in Pittsburgh. Let's just say something gets lost in the translation. Parillaud (La Femme Nikita) is the svelte bloodsucker who tangles with the local mafia, but Landis seems far more interested in showing her naked than in making her sympathetic. If you like your movies dumb, nasty, and illogical, this spud's for you. D
