If you think superhero comics are the pinnacle of graphic art, this 85-minute history is not for you. Barely glancing at the likes of Marvel Comics' Stan Lee, Comic Book Confidential is interested in more mature and/or twisted creative geniuses like Zap Comix's Robert Crumb and Maus' Art Spiegelman. That's great, but attempts to animate the cartoon panels by having their creators read them aloud fall flat. B
