Unfortunately, the one thing that manages to rise above the rest of the well-crafted pop glop on If Only My Heart Had a Voice is the title tune, cowritten by Rogers. Even his duet with Travis Tritt (''If I Were You'') only serves to demonstrate how swiftly a spirited pony can pass an old war-horse who's just grazing. C
