Fyodor Dostoyevsky is coyly listed as a story consultant on this Crime and Punishment set on Manhattan's Lower East Side, in which an actress (Liliana Komorowska) rapturously stabs a drug kingpin (Charles F. Dutton) to the strains of Beethoven's Fantasia in C Minor. Nice touch, but the rest of Astonished is self-satisfied, condescending, smirking film-school stuff. D
