In today's chaotic world, the trendy pop roar of this New York trio's debut album, Stigmata A Go Go, would be easy to tune out if the songs weren't so smart, catchy, and strong. Amid echoes of Nirvana and the Replacements, these tales of urban woe ride a mighty storm of tuneful guitar noise. B+
