The 1992-93 TV season concluded on April 18, and for the second year in a row, CBS took the ratings crown, followed by ABC, NBC, and Fox, in that order. ABC's powerhouse sitcom Roseanne triumphed as the season's top show among viewers for the second straight year, narrowly edging out CBS' 60 Minutes (2nd) and ABC's Home Improvement (3rd). Roseanne Arnold's April 18 movie, The Woman Who Loved Elvis, didn't perform as well as her series, though its 29th-place finish wasn't far behind the first part of CBS' movie The Fire Next Time (20th). (Mobsters on NBC trailed badly in 52nd.) And while CBS' Bob Newhart vehicle, Bob, benefited from a move to Mondays (leaping to 30th place from its Friday average of 76th), the premiere of Dudley Moore's new Friday sitcom on CBS, Dudley, proved a dud, placing 53rd.
