A stiff in theaters, Trespass is another glibly macho, very watchable action orgy from director Walter Hill (48 HRS.). Paxton and William Sadler play white fire fighters seeking treasure in an abandoned factory that happens to be on the turf of a black gang headed by Ice-T and Ice Cube. There are fine performances amid the bullets, but the purposelessness of it all is dispiriting: Hill is Howard Hawks without a moral compass. C+
