Who says bloodier is better? Not Ridley Scott, who objected to the gory moments that were reinserted into the unrated Blade Runner released on cassette and disc-and which is still widely available. Originally trimmed so the film would get an R rating, these grisly shots won't be found in the new, slightly shorter, director's cut. Here's how the more graphic elements decrease the peace:
