Sonny Landreth Down in Louisiana (Epic) As the former guitarist for John Hiatt, Sonny Landreth administered the salve and sting to Hiatt's songs of bittersweetness. Now on his own, he celebrates his Louisiana roots with deep- dish renditions of blues, funk, and Cajun/zydeco, putting the gumbo to Sonny Boy Williamson, the harmonica to Clifton Chenier, and the voodoo to everything else.
