''Din'' Jacket

Under the video cover -- Tuner Home Entertainment's new editions of ''Gunga Din'' are much more colorful than before

How do you hide your true colors? Not well, if you're Turner Home Entertainment. The box for one of Turner's two new editions of the 1939 adventure Gunga Din features a band across the top that euphemistically (not to mention pretentiously) touts the video as ''color enhanced.'' And what in the world does that mean? Well, as a different band across the bottom explains, ''This is a colorized version of a film originally marketed and distributed to the public in black and white.'' Okay — yet the movie stills displayed on the back of the box are in black and white. We can see the color rising in your cheeks, Ted.
