BEST OF THE BEST 2 Eric Roberts, Phillip Rhee (1993, FoxVideo, R, $95.98) In 1989's Best of the Best, Roberts and his buddies defeated the Korean team to become karate champs. In this belated sequel, they've got stiffer competition: gladiators who do battle in an underground coliseum, where Vegas high rollers wager on the fatal outcome. The outrageous premise notwithstanding, this martial-arts headbanger ultimately doesn't take things far enough over the top. Even Wayne Newton underachieves here: As a smarmy emcee, he plays it so straight, he's hardly even camp. C -Michael Sauter
