Mark Chesnutt Almost Goodbye (MCA) Traditionalist Mark Chesnutt distinguished himself early with a splendid song sense and a grainy baritone that suggested he had too much Texas dust stuck in his throat. This, his third album, contains a truly dreadful song about what Daddy bequeathed the family (''The Will''). But most of Goodbye is class-A honky-tonk, ballad, and Texas swing, delivered by a guy whose instincts are usually as sure as his pitch. A- -Alanna Nash
