Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell Gina Lollobrigida, Shelley Winters (1968, MGM/UA, wide-screen, unrated, $34.98) If it were out on tape (where wide-screen films are usually recropped), this sitcom-coy farce about a reunion that brings three World War II servicemen (Telly Savalas, Peter Lawford, and Phil Silvers) back to an Italian town would certainly suffer in the translation: It has wide-screen imagery that spreads four and five arguing spouses across the frame at once. But on disc, as the now-married men discover that nobody knows which of them really fathered a daughter 20 years ago by villager Mrs. Campbell (Lollobrigida), the letterboxing makes all the door-slamming choreography easy to follow. A silly dance in the end, but at least all the steps are here. B- -SD
