BROADWAY BOUND Anne Bancroft, Hume Cronyn (1992, ABC, unrated, $89.98) ''I don't have to become a writer,'' says the youngest brother (Corey Parker) in Neil Simon's memory play, ''if I could only get enough people to pay for seats in the living room.'' The Brooklyn household is indeed an entertaining stage: a long-suffering but sweet Jewish mother (Bancroft), a straying husband (Jerry Orbach), and a Trotskyite grandpa (Cronyn) whose life has become a nap-in- progress.

With them as inspiration, two brothers (the other is played by Jonathan Silverman) are about to break into television comedy writing. This is old- fashioned material (the third installment in Simon's autobiographical trilogy), gingerly transferred to the screen with one terrific performance (Bancroft's) and enough self-affection to make video viewers feel good about themselves as well.
