two weeks in australia Lemonheads Evan Dando is the first true hunk of alternative rock, but is he pleased with the honor? Hard to tell. For such a sensitive guy, the singer-guitarist of the Lemonheads can be pretty vague about stuff. That's clear on this tape, a combination of on-the- road snippets and music clips, mostly from the band's breakthrough 1992 album, It's a Shame About Ray. Dando's studied naivete may be cute, but it also keeps pushing us away. B+
