A Better ''Body''?

''Body Snatchers'' remake -- The film is more of a ''return of'' than reiteration with a few new terrifying touches

''Body Snatchers'' remake

Just when you thought it was safe to doze off at the movies, those old zombies are back. This time, though, they're different: Inspired by the 1956 Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Body Snatchers is less another remake than a ''return of.'' You don't quite glean that from the trailer (now showing on the E! channel's Coming Attractions), but you do get some creepy new touches. There's a little boy's primal terror when he realizes his mother isn't his mother. And there's Mom herself — a spacey Meg Tilly — who makes the directive ''get in bed'' seem not cozy but chilling. Reportedly, the film will include some flesh-crawling transformations, but they won't unfold until Body Snatchersdoes — the week before Halloween.
