It's mind-boggling that Don Byron -- whose stunning 1992 ''Tuskegee Experiments'' was the most brilliant clarinet album in many years -- would follow up by re-creating (however affectionately) Mickey Katz's 40-year-old klezmer music and borscht belt parodies. And he doesn't know joking about Cousin Moishe being ''a faygeleh'' is offensive these days?
