'93. * Car 54, Where Are You? Starring David Johansen as Officer Toody and Rosie O'Donnell as his wife. Opens Jan. '94. * The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis Since buying the rights to his alter ego, Dwayne Hickman has been shopping around the screen version, in which Dobie is sole parent of a teen. * F Troop In development at New Line Cinema; rumor has it that some of the original Fort Courage cavalry will have cameos. * The Fugitive With Harrison Ford in the title role and Tommy Lee Jones as the inspector in pursuit, it opens Aug. 6. * Lassie The bitch will be back in U.S. theaters for the fifth time, in a feature produced by SNL guru Lorne Michaels. * Lost in Space In development at Prelude Pictures; no cast yet, but we hear the robot is available. * Maverick Stars Mel Gibson; Lethal Weapon's Richard Donner directs. Shooting begins next month for a spring '94 release. * Mission: Impossible Paramount hopes to snag Tom Cruise as the head spy.
