One of the foremost jazz composers at his best. The rough but irresistibly spirited, previously unreleased version of ''Better Git It in Your Soul,'' which opens this near-perfect, four-audiophile-LP set, is a wondrous find. (One minor flaw: Sunny Clapp, not Mingus, composed ''Girl of my Dreams.'') Mosaic, the standard-setter for reissues, is also offering recommended Buck Clayton and Don Cherry sets.
